I am a coastal Rhode Island author, mother of four, wife, Christian woman, and creator of heartfelt stories, poems, and reflections that call hearts back toward one another.
I write from the meeting place of home and wonder — from the kitchen table, the ocean air, the forest edge, the children’s rooms, the ache and beauty of family life, and the deep belief that love, courage, goodness, faith, and wonder are still worth carrying.

My debut YA fantasy novel, Sera, Lily & The Fox Prince, is a myth-leaning story of two sisters, a forbidden forest, and the courage it takes to choose light when darkness tries to divide the people we love most.
I write fantasy with lush atmosphere, moral depth, fierce kindness, and brave-hearted softness. If you love stories filled with adventure, mystery, beauty, family, and meaning, you are in the right place.
But my work does not live only in fiction.
Through my Substack, Letters to the Netherwood, I also write personal reflections on faith, family, motherhood, homemaking, stewardship, creativity, marriage, becoming whole, and the quiet work of building a life rooted in goodness.
At the heart of everything I create is one desire:
To help people remember what is good, what is true, what is worth protecting, and what it means to live with courage and reverence in a fractured world.
The Thread Running Through It All
Before this author chapter, I studied cell and molecular biology and built a career in healthcare quality, where integrity matters, systems matter, and small details can change real lives.
I have also spent years around film sets through background acting, which deepened my love for storytelling in all its forms — the visible and invisible work of bringing a world to life.
Those parts of me may seem separate at first: science, systems, storytelling, faith, motherhood, home.
But to me, they are not at odds.
They are all rooted in the same truth:
Everything is connected, and what we nurture matters.
I have spent my professional life learning how systems shape outcomes.
I have spent my personal life learning how love, trust, attention, and tenderness shape souls.
And I have spent my creative life trying to bring those hidden things into the light.

I believe faith and inquiry can walk side by side.
I believe wonder is not childish. It is formative.
I believe goodness is not weakness. It is strength rightly ordered.
I believe children and parents are bound together by something sacred.
I believe stories can shape the moral imagination.
And I believe the most powerful lives are integrated ones — lives that do not divide the creative from the practical, the spiritual from the intellectual, or the tender from the strong.

In Sera, Lily & The Fox Prince, two sisters step into a forbidden forest and encounter a darkness that does not merely attack from the outside.
It learns them.
It studies their fears.
It tempts them to turn against the people they love most.
The story explores loyalty, discernment, courage, family, sisterhood, and the choice to carry light even when the way forward is hidden.
That theme is not accidental.
Again and again, in fiction and in life, I find myself returning to the same question:
How do we remain loving, brave, and whole in a world that wants to divide us from one another?
